Call for Awards
Nominations for the 2012 Call for Awards are now being accepted for presentation at the 29th Annual International Bridge Conference®.

Medals
Projects may be eligible for more than one Medal – select which Medals you believe fit the project on the entry form.
Project Medals
Award winners must be “recent” projects. For all Project Medals, recent is defined as within two years of the Awards ceremony. For example, for the 2012 Award, projects must have been completed between June 2010 and June 2012.
Winners will be announced on the International Bridge Conference® web site (www.eswp.com/bridge) and in the Conference publications on or before May 1, 2012.

John A. Roebling Medal (Sponsored by Roads and Bridges Magazine)
To be awarded for lifetime achievement in bridge engineering. Major achievements may include design, construction, research or educational endeavors. -
George S. Richardson Medal (Sponsored by Roads and Bridges Magazine)
For a single, recent outstanding achievement in bridge engineering. Fields of endeavor may include design, construction, research or education. -
Gustav Lindenthal Medal (Sponsored by Bayer Corporation)
For a single, recent outstanding achievement in bridge engineering demonstrating, as appropriate, technical and material innovation, aesthetic merit, harmony with the environment or successful community participation. -
Eugene C. Figg Medal (Sponsored by IBC)
For a single, recent outstanding achievement in bridge engineering that, through vision and innovation, provides an icon to the community for which it was designed. -
Arthur G. Hayden Medal (Sponsored by Bridge design & engineering Magazine)
For a single recent outstanding achievement in bridge engineering demonstrating innovation in special use bridges such as pedestrian, people-mover, or non-traditional structures. - Student Paper Competition (Sponsored by IBC)
The annual student paper competition is available to all graduate and undergraduate civil engineering majors who attend an accredited college or university in the United States or worldwide. Students may download the application and submit it with a paper and cover letter from a faculty sponsor.
